Christmas Wedding

Duaine and Elizabeth were married yesterday at Woodmen Valley Chapel in Colorado Springs. It was a lovely ceremony with approximately 120 people attending.

The Chapel was already decorated for Christmas and it made for a very festive atmosphere.

Best wishes to them for their future together.

Stephanie Johnson Art

The writer, the artist, the cake decorator!

Stephanie came by today with a bunch of her paintings. By golly is she good! This photo is a detail from her 24 by 48 inch canvas painting of the "Labyrinth." Does anyone remember the 1986 movie? Neither do I. Stars David Bowie and Jennifer Connelly. Anyway, as I was saying she came by to have photos taken for her under construction website but in the meantime you can view more of Stephanie's work on her blog:

Thanksgiving Day Portraits

Ok so you may think that we are nuts but we had a great day photographing families getting together for the holidays. After all we are British and although we are very thankful for all the blessings we have had this year, we also know how precious family get-togethers are.

Above is a photo of the Moody family! Alysa came into town from Texas and Aaron and Andrea came down from Fort Collins. They managed to wrap all their Christmas presents while in our studio.

We did get some personal time today. We had a wonderful lunch with friends and then Evie photographed Jan and family. Two of her sons came in from New York and Arizona. Dad was also there as was Sarah the Corgi and Max the yellow lab. What precious memories!

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Festival of Trees - ESM

The Ecumenical Social Ministries of Colorado Springs had its 1st Annual Jingle Bell Ball on Friday November 21st. Approximately 300 people attended this wonderful event which took place at the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in Colorado Springs.

Forte Events (www.forteevents.com) organized the Gala and Scott Bernard generated some Festival of Trees Magic! Yes, it did snow during dinner! The photo to the left is not speckled, but shows the light catching some of the snow falling from the ceiling!

The food was delicious! Alpine Chef created some delicious steak and salmon risotto and the desserts were out of this world.

Seralina Custom Florals created the beautiful center-pieces. Three unique designs were made especially for this event.

Walmart donated lots of trees that various businesses decorated and the trees were available for purchase. All the proceeds from the event went towards providing Thanksgiving Gift Baskets for needy families and other project run by ESM.

On Saturday, all day, Santa came! and he brought more snow! Some children had their photo taken with him and told him what they wanted for Christmas or even just blew bubbles!

There was lots of entertainment from musician, singers and dancers! Hot chocolate, cookies! Oh,yeah, even face painting. Some of us got candy canes and Xmas trees painted on our faces.

There are lots more photos from the two days and they will be posted through our website in the next few days. Just go to "Client galleries" and put event number 584641

Lots of fun was had by all!

Hi from the princess

Say Hi to Erica She is four and a bundle of laughs.

The photos were take at Glen Eyrie Castle.

Alan's Automotive

This is the Mead family. Alan and Mary, dressed in red, are the owners of Alan's Automotive and Diesel at Hwy24 and Marksheffel Rd. They provide modern technology with old-fashioned service at 719.630.0380.

For the first time in a while four generations were gathered together. Two of their children are Marines; one just got back from the front and the other is due to go out in January. Best wishes to them.

In addition to photographing the family, we also photographed their shop and the images will be used on their website.

Unusual photo request

So we get a call this week from a lawyer friend asking if we do really close up shot. The answer of course was yes! A client of theirs had visited a doctor for treatment of oily skin and after treatment she ended up with really bad scarring. We took lots of photos that will be used in the lawsuit!

CastleClean Maid Service

Here is a photo of the Wilsons. They moved to Colorado in 2007 from Texas. Brian and Lee are the owners of Castle Clean Maid and Butler Service where "you are royalty". Their number is 719.330.5762. The photo was taken November 2nd at 7am at Garden of the Gods park in Colorado Springs.
